At Cranleigh we are passionate about the vital importance of music in a child’s development.  Every pupil is offered a vast number of musical opportunities to achieve success, whether through participation in a large choir, a rock band or as soloist.  In order for your child to have lessons at Cranleigh, please complete this application form.

The recommended length of each weekly lesson is dependent of the level of attainment. This may be discussed with individual teachers. However, as a general guide we would recommend:

- Standard lessons (30 minutes) for pupils working up to Grade 5 level or equivalent
- Extended lessons (45 minutes) for pupils working towards or post Grades 6 and 7 or equivalent
- Double lessons (60 minutes) for pupils working towards or post Grade 8 or equivalent

Current Lesson fees:  These are for guidance only as Visiting Music Teachers are self-employed and are able to charge their own rates. However, the rates below are applicable for pupils taught by Cranleigh Music staff and are subject to review before the beginning of each academic year:

Standard Lesson (30 mins)
Michaelmas (12 lessons): £300.00
Lent (9 lessons): £225.00
Summer (6 lessons): £150.00

Extended Lesson (45 mins by arrangement)
Michaelmas (12 lessons): £450.00
Lent (9 lessons): £337.50
Summer (6 lessons): £225.00

Double Lesson (60 mins)
Michaelmas (12 lessons): £600.00
Lent (9 lessons): £450.00
Summer (6 lessons): £300.00

Hire Charge for School instruments (per term): £51.50
